| DRONES The D set of drones come with tenor, baritone and bass drones. The drones are available in Cocobolo, Rosewood or African Blackwood. The mainstock is made of Maple and is stained to colour match the wood species chosen for the drones. It has a lever air shut-off switch and is pre-bored to accept regulators for future upgrade to a 3/4 or full set. Each set of drones comes with turned regulator plugs. These are hand turned wooden hemped plugs that are inserted into the pre-bored regulator holes on the mainstock surface. These add a nice cosmetic touch to the set, as opposed to just having open holes. The mainstock cup is made of solid brass which adds to the overall cosmetics as well as is very durable. There are two choices for the bass drone resonator: 1) tulip or trumpet style 2) box. The box style (2) has a hollow interior and produces slightly more bass then the tulip or trumpet style (1). All components are handmade and hand formed with cosmetic detailing along the length of the turned wood and brass components on each drone. Synthetic reeds provide the stable harmonic sounds that are resistent to extreme climatic conditions. Mounts/caps are available in synthetic ivory, Maple or any of the wood species (Cocobolo, Rosewood or African Blackwood). Drones are tuned prior to shipment. |

1. Celtic traditional hand engraving - All engravings are done using old fashion traditional methods, by hand and by a Master Craftsman. This is a timeconsuming, high quality process that is very unique and really adds a Celtic tradtional look to the drones.
